In every particle — both in its motion and in its stillness — two lights of Divine Unity shine like two suns.

For, as has been proven briefly in the First Indication of the 10th Word and in detail in the 22nd Word:

If every particle were not an official servant of God, and if it did not move by His permission and disposal, and if it did not transform through His knowledge and power; then every single particle would necessarily possess an infinite knowledge, a limitless power, an eye that sees everything, a face that looks toward everything, and a word that reaches everything.

For every particle of the elements works, or can work, in an orderly manner within every living body. The orders and laws of formation of things differ from one another. If those systems were not known, those functions could not be performed; and even if performed, they could not be carried out without error. Yet they are carried out flawlessly.

Therefore, those serving particles are either acting through the permission, command, knowledge, and will of an Owner of all-encompassing knowledge, or else those particles themselves must possess such all-encompassing knowledge and power.

Indeed, every particle of the air can enter and function within the body of every living being, within every fruit of every flower, and within the structure of every leaf. Yet their formations are all different, and each possesses its own distinct order.

If, for example, the factory of a fig were like a cloth-weaving machine, then the factory of a pomegranate would resemble a sugar-producing machine, and so on… The programs of those structures and bodies are all different from one another.

Now this particle of air enters, or can enter, all of them, and works within them wisely and masterfully without making mistakes, taking on suitable positions. And once its duty is completed, it departs.

Thus, either that moving particle of air must know the forms, measures, structures, and shapes bestowed upon plants, animals, fruits, and flowers; or it must be acting as an official under the command and will of One Who knows.

Likewise, every motionless particle of the motionless earth (soil) is capable of becoming the source and origin of the seeds of all flowering plants and fruit-bearing trees. Whatever seed comes to that particle — that is, to a handful of soil which, in terms of uniformity, is itself like a single particle — finds within it a special factory for itself, together with all the necessary equipment and devices required for its formation.

Therefore, within that particle and within that handful of soil, which is like the tiny dwelling-place of the particle, there would have to exist, in number equal to all species of trees, plants, flowers, and fruits, perfectly ordered immaterial machines and factories;

or there must exist within it a miraculous knowledge and power that creates everything out of nothing and knows everything about everything in every aspect;

or else those duties are carried out through the command, permission, power, and strength of an Absolutely Powerful One, an All-Knowing One Who knows all things.

Indeed, suppose an ignorant, untrained, common, ordinary, and blind man were to go to Europe and enter all the factories and workshops. Suppose he were to perform works in every craft and every building with masterly perfection and complete order, producing such wise and artistic results that they astonish everyone.

Anyone possessing even an atom’s weight of consciousness would know that the man is not working by himself. Rather, a universal master is instructing and employing him.

Likewise, imagine a blind, helpless man who cannot even rise from his place, sitting in a simple little hut. Yet materials the size of a gram — such as stone, bone, and cotton — are brought into that hut, and from it emerge tons of sugar, rolls of cloth, thousands of jewels, exquisitely crafted garments adorned with ornaments, and delicious foods.

Would anyone possessing even an atom’s weight of reason fail to say:

“That man is merely a latch of the factory of a wondrous being, or a humble doorkeeper of it.”

Exactly the same way, the services and activities performed by the particles of air within plants and trees, flowers and fruits — each of which is a letter of the Self-Sufficient God, an antique work of Divine art, a miracle of Power, and a wonder of Wisdom — show that they move by the command and will of an All-Wise and Glorious Maker, a Generous and Beauteous Creator.

And likewise, the particles of the soil — each functioning as a separate machine and workshop, a separate printing press, a separate treasury, a separate antique work, a separate proclamation announcing the Names of the Glorious Maker, and a separate ode proclaiming His perfections — becoming the source and origin of the spikes, trees, and plants emerging from seeds and kernels; this too is as certain as two times two equals four:

That all of this occurs through the command, permission, will, and power of a Glorious Maker Who possesses the command “Be! and it is,” and to Whose command all things are subjected.

We believe and affirm it.
